Bergamot, which grows on the southern coasts and especially in our country, is known for the aroma it gives to earl gray tea. It is mostly grown for its essential oil. The oil added to skin care products is used for aromatherapy purposes. It takes place on our breakfast tables with its jam made from its shell. The juice obtained when the fruit is squeezed is added to salads as an alternative to lemon and vinegar. Thanks to the drying of the shells, it is added to tea and desserts.
To dry the bergamot skins, you can peel them with a pumpkin peeler. You can dry it in a sunny environment, in a low-temperature oven, on radiators or on the cooker. Do not forget to turn the shells occasionally during the drying process.
