Limequat is a hybrid of lime and kumquat. It leaves a bitter aftertaste in the mouth, which gradually turns into a floral, sweet-bitter flavor. While we usually prefer lime varieties for their juices, it can be added directly to jams, chutney and kumquat recipes, as well as limequat juice. It can be eaten with its shell like kumquat. You can also try it with avocado and persimmon, slice it fresh and add it to salads. We strongly recommend that you remove the seeds for fresh use to relieve the bitter taste. In confectionery, dipped in chocolate and caramel sauce, it can be a good additive and ornamental material in cakes and tarts. It is compatible with recipes to be cooked with meat, chicken and fish. It is a good source of vitamin C and folic acid.
