Dear Supporter,
While the steps we take are directed from the gardens to the forests, our team is expanding as well. As always, we continue to nourish life with new products and work on our application areas.
If you remember, we grafted our grapefruit trees with different citrus species last year. Even though the amount of our trees is decreasing, our investments in soil are returning thanks to the methods that increase biodiversity and biomass. In this way, we harvested a lot of grapefruit this year and delivered them to you. This year, neither our minds nor our hearts allowed to keep those who cannot buy the fresh products we collect from their branches in the cold storage. For this reason, we lit the fire, prepared the cauldrons, and made three different kinds of fruit pulp from grapefruit: plain, with lots of honey, sesame and cinnamon. Grapefruits, which can be carried in bags and suppress hunger, have turned into a vitamin C store and an energy-rich food for our children, who are at work, in the park, in the garden, at the seaside.
In our application lands, we collect seeds to spread them in the lower layers of our functional forest application areas. Among these seeds, our perennial weeds take the first place. We do not forget the seeds of our medicinal and aromatic species and seasonal greens. The collected seeds are dried, transferred to jars and labeled. Meanwhile, the inventory work continues.
Infrastructure, maintenance and repair works continue at full speed. It is known that the summers are getting drier and the weather conditions are getting harsher and more volatile. For this reason, it is critical that the tens of thousands of seeds, seedlings and saplings we plant are watered with great precision during the first three years, which is the most important for them to grow resistant despite the scorching summer conditions. That's why we meticulously carry out all necessary infrastructure work and maintenance. Cleaning the cisterns, maintenance and repair of the existing irrigation lines are also included in our work list.
See you next week with new news that feeds life.
