Dear Supporter,
Our journey to functional forests is about observing nature as it is.
People who want to meet their real needs transfer their observations on this journey to their life. A multi-layered structure emerges when real needs are the focus of life. Air, water, shelter, food, clothing, health products are a few of them.
We witnessed this layered structure once again during the Seeing Together and Learning Walks that took place in our practice fields this week. What we witnessed in the wild; We were excited to see the insane combination of olive, laurel and elm trees spontaneously occur in the canopy of our orange trees.
Despite these hot days, we observed that the soil retained its moisture exactly as we expected. Our citrus trees rest in the shade of annual and perennial substrate plants such as pomegranate, sage, wild blackberry. Thanks to these living mulches, the soil retains its moisture.
We recommend that you add beans and wild purslane grown in the lap of these lively and diverse forests to your basket. This week's other wild vinegar will go well with your salads and omelets.
See you at the tables that feed life.
